Is there any place to buy the outer grille housing? This is the large piece that goes around the grille and turn lamp. I attached a picture of mine, I was trying to take it off to clean and repaint it but numerous bolts broke off of it. I was only able to find the ones for the 69 barracuda, is there any where to buy the one for the 68 that anyone knows of?

Classic Industries have just started to show new repos in their latest catalog. They show part numbers for 68 and 69. They are very expensive. Someone on this forum has already asked about these, but they are very new -- and maybe nobody has bought them yet.

I've never been sure of the subtle differences between the 67, 68, and 69s.

In addition, there is almost always a listing or two on eBay.

I used a dremel with a wire wheel to clean those very fine threads and then doused them in PB Blaster before attempting to pull them off. I only broke one. If you break them you have to drill out the rivets that hold the grille together, replace the studs (you can get at your local nut/bolt store) or from http://www.restorationspecialties.com

nice rims, are those sbp or lbp?

guy on here, known as "partsmonsta" redoes these grills. he has mine right now. all his work I`ve seen pics of, is excellent. or, [email protected] tell him famous bob sent you. note: famous part is a joke !

Hello Bob, I hope you have better luck with your grilles from Partsmonsta than I did when I bought a set of grilles and headlight bezels. I think his work sucks, way overpriced and I took many pictures to show anyone interested so that they too can make up their own mind before spending their money.

Let's see the pics.

I agree, just fix the studs.
