1968 Plymouth Valiant Project car. $7500

Location: Huachuca City AZ 85616 (South of Tucson AZ)

The car and parts are a good start for putting together an 11 second or quicker drag car. First 7 digits of the VIN are VL21A8E. I have a clean Arizona title in my name, VIN tag is present and attached with original rivets, it matches the title.

Car is a roller and includes the set of 5 on 4” bolt circle rally wheels pictured.

I bought this car as a parts car for a street/strip 68 Valiant I am currently re-motoring and the majority of parts listed came from that car.

Body: Originally a /6 car. The body is straight and solid with the exception of the rusty front floors and 3 pin holes in passenger side rocker. Some minor body work was started on the car. Replacement front floor pans temporarily installed in the car. There is no gauge cluster but aftermarket gauges are included.. All glass is good. Hood is steel with a fiberglass 6 pack style hood scoop.

Sale includes the 508 stroker motor complete air filter to oil pan (see below). 727 Torqueflite w/ 3000 stall convertor. Big Block K member (installed in car). Stainless headers and 3” exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. 20 gallon aluminum fuel cell (installed in car) w/ Holley in tank pump and wiring harness. Autometer 5” tach, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge and speedometer. Original bench seats, 1 aluminum JAZ racing seat, cover and racing harness (Cert on harness is expired).

Wiring to relocate battery to the trunk. Motor mounts and brackets, factory heater. Bolt on aluminum driveshaft safety loop. Transmission cooler, kick-down linkage, alternator and high torque starter. Spare pair of 6 cyl torsion bars (the ones that came out of the race car). Holley Terminator X fuel injection unit. The Terminator wiring was installed in the street strip car and carefully removed. I do no know if the unit was actually used (a new 850 Holley double pumper was on the car when I bought it) it appears to be complete.

Majority of the parts to convert to 5 on 4 ½” bolt circle including; pair of aftermarket tubular upper control arms, spindles, 5 on 4 ½” rotors, calipers, and braided brake lines (not installed). 8 ¾ rear axle housing (54” flange to flange (65-67 B body ?)), axles (5 on 4 ½” BC) and backing plates for 10” X 2 ½” brakes.

Engine: I believe the engine was built with a 440 Source stroker kit. I have not torn the engine down and cannot verify this or the displacement.

Quoted is the description provided by the previous owner is his ad to sell the street strip car.

“….508 big block…. Pump gas stroker motor with 10 to 1 compression ….. approx 550hp…… Ran a 1.55 60ft and went 7.3 in the eighth, high 11's in the quarter mile….. On the street cruising it runs 180 to 190 water temps…...Only 4 passes made at Barona 1/8 mile in San Diego and a dozen passes at Tucson Dragway….”

(I have seen the 11.9 time slip from Tucson dragway).

Things I have verified:

440 block
“440 Source” stealth aluminum heads
Aftermarket push rods
Adjustable rocker arms (possibly indicating a solid lifter or roller cam ?)
ARP head bolts
Mopar Wedge dual plane intake (P5153525)
Aluminum water pump housing
Aluminum water pump
Holley 82851 850 CFM double-pumper carb
Mopar electronic distributor
Deep sump oil pan
