Goes into the bracing lower right in the picture. Comes out the half dollar size holes.

--------------------------------probably no help here, but I have a fiberglass hood on a 68 fastback, so I put them in the fenders, I lovem !

I like them in the fender also....I mounted mid 70s ones on my 64 Valiant and my 86 Ramcharger also.

What kind of wire ties are the using to hold the wires to the hood?

Those "ties" for the wires are the factory "clips" Plastic. They open up and snap together.
I don't think I have seen anything exactly the same....but I am sure there is something out there that comes close. Most new cars today have something.
