I have a pair of prestine 1969 'Cuda specific (re: 340,383,440) aluminum hood scoops. Most people have never seen these little scoops in-person, because only about 1,000 of these 'Cuda's were built. I had them professionally painted a few years ago in gloss black w/clear coat, which is incorrect because they were originally flat black to blend in with the flat/mat black hood decal. The paint is near perfect, but has some shelf wear on the clearcoat and needs buffing, but whoever will buy these will probably repaint them in a correct color anyway.
-I am planning on selling them on eBay in the furture and was wondering if anyone knows how much these would sell for. I have a pretty good idea, because I know just how rare these scoops are. Thanks-Derek

how much do you want , i'am builting a 68 rag top with a 69 frontend its got a 408 stoker with a 5 speed just want something differ . michael

You're right...never seen 'em before. Do you have a pic of them on a car? What do they look like? Hard to put a value on something we haven't seen...

Are they like these?

Yes, those are the scoops in the picture of the 1969 'Cuda 440, like I said I am just trying to get an idea for what they are worth, I am planning to put them on eBay in the near future and want to have some reserve I know I will get for them. That is the only formal way I can think of doing this sale.
-thanks far the responses!

I will take a shot at this hhhmmmmm.400 dollar resurve maybe.not sure but if I needed Them to bild a clone I would figure at lest this price. Not unles I found them at a swap meet on accident for 50 dollars if they did not know what they had.I bet you are all cunfuse know .

I don't get this site at all!! It seem that most people here are more interested in only selling stuff here AFTER they can't sell it on FEE-BAY...is it just me or is everybody about the money?? i mean come on $400 ..what about the guy who just need them for HIS car.. NOT the guy that will make a car thats a CLONE and just turn it over in a couple weeks!! ...I just don't get it!! sorry but don't get it...yes I have a car listed on e-bay myself.but its a WHOLE car for 500 bucks..I see wheels on here for 200 that need to be re-done, trunk locks 50buck??? ..PLEASE TELL ME I'M WRONG !! and show me some place on THIS site where a average guy can buy something for his car that they really need and not get raped on the price...i know all the lines about "they don't make them anymore" "super rare" ..But what happen to helping a guy out with a part??? TALK TO ME ...I'M I WRONG???

I typically post my mopar stuff here first as I'd prefer to have it go to true enthusiasts. I sell my parts to buy my parts. Most people don't want lose money by not knowing what they have. If you know what they have is worth nothing you'd let them know. But if it's worth lot's of money you should say somthing like "look into it" or "they go for this much $$". But the part is only worth to you what your willing to spend. If someone want's what you believe is to much, let them know you think it's to much. Don't buy it.

I have a pair of those but not quite in mint cond. I would call them more than a little used. I'm not trying to sell them but I would think to the right guy they could be very desirable (read $$$$) . $400 maybe?

I find it hilarious when people try to sell items that were found on many A bodies or more specific all 2nd gen Barracudas as Hemi, Formula S, rare. Peace

Wow interesting feedback, I was just trying to this message out to people looking for these scoops and trying to test the waters of what they might be worth. Selling these scoops to a person who is in need of them is what my ultimate goal is, I was hoping to reach a demographic who knows about these scoops and is in need of them. People restoring a 1969 'Cuda (RE: I am not abreviating-not a base Barracuda, actually a different model) will need these scoops. Like I said, I have an idea for what these scoops are worth, and I am trying to get some price feedback (RE:positive feedback) and promote awareness of these scoops. I do not expect most people to know what these scoops are, simply because alot of people do not know as much about these cars as say a Barracuda Formula S or M code of a different year. Once again, those are the scoops on the pink 1969 Plymouth 'Cuda 440 in the picture, they are aluminum, uncommon, and belong to a small and rather interesting piece of Mopar history for the 1969 model year of unusual A-bodies.

I've bought and sold many of these scoops. It really depends on the mounting studs. Are there any stripped or missing. Any dings or nicks on the scoops? If not, I would think they would sell for around $300-$400, maybe more if you have a bidding war. I've seen perfect sets sell as low as $200. Just because they are rare doesn't always mean more money. I have a website I'm building devoted to this cars. Drop me an email if you have any questions.

BTW, there was roughly 1500 'cudas produced in 69. Also, those scoops were available on 73 A-bodies. I will attach a picture.

Good luck,
Daniel
