I just got started and figured I would start a build thread. It won't be done anytime soon. Plan of attack is to use my other darts 318 and have a driver until i win the lottery to build my 340. I have the 4 speed, hump, pedals, etc. missing shifter/clutch/shifter rods.
Car will be all black still haven't decided on the rear stripe.

This is kinda what I'm shooting for. Don't want it to be perfect just a nice driver. Don't have any money for the build at the moment but I have tons of acquired parts so I should be able to get a decent chunk done.

Swapping k frame, steering, suspension, interior, wiring, bumpers, brake lines, e-brake,fuel lines/tank, master cylinder, steering column, rear end, window regulators, wiper assembly, possibly doors, exhaust.

From this car

Need to install heater box assembly, windshield, rear glass, flip dash clips install shorter bolts from undernieth.

The yellow car is finally getting put together and it's going to stay yellow. I made the mistake of sharing my plans on how I wanted to build the car when I first got it. It has caused me to second guess myself for far to long. Function over form is the build motto so purists/perfections be warned.

Plan of attack is to swap everything from car to car. Red car will end up a roller with a slant 6 k-frame and 7 1/4. I've got a buddy that has a farm site so I'll be able to hold onto it incase I win the lottery.

The Clarke welder I inherited from my grandpa broke. My buddy gave me his lincoln. It needs 220 so I had to put in an outlet.

The yellow dart also known as D2 had a cracked hinge. I had to make 2 into one. Function over form (aka parts stay looking shitty hahahaha)

Got the passenger door figured out. Went to roll up the window and the gears were stripped. Used a piece off a rear window regulator to make it work.

Old thread revival! Love it

Who makes the hood that's on the red car? Looks great

Loving this thread. I am about to get into the body on my 67 Dart and this has been educational.

Learning as I go. So far today I forgot to turn the gas on while tacking, after cutting the slits for the spare tire bracket I realized I was using a grinding disc, meant to get some weld through primer.

Going to be lots of sealer hahahaha

I went to cut a small chunk and it escalated. Going to be sealing all the little holes and calling it good. Ran out of sealer and nobody local stocked it.

I lost my storage at my buddies flip house and acquired a shelf in the mean time. Blew my back out moving stuff around. Another lesson learned………….call someone to help before lifting heavy *** ****!

Got the drivers door hinges rebuilt. Trunk is done. Thankful the strikers both were able to be adjusted correctly. I was worried!

So...is the red car a parts car?
The red car is very rusty (structurally) but I won’t sell it (sentimental value)

By the time I’m done it will be a slant 6 k frame 7 1/4 roller.

I got some more done today. I had bought brake lines a couple years ago. Not sure why it was short but added a little bit of line and a union. Fuel line is in. Welded in the Z-bar stud brace. Hoping I can use the seat belt for the exhaust hangers. I bolted in a gas pedal from a 76 dart I parted out.

I’d like to be able to park my daily in the garage (scraping windows when you own a heated garage sucks)
Swapped the trunk lock cylinder, taillights/trim. Had to make 2 lamp housings from 4 because some of the studs were broke.

Swapped k-frames and they will both be rollers this weekend.
