1969 shoulder belts have a snap

.my early production 69 dart has a snap and what's left of elastic strap on the shoulder belt. I assume something was used to hold the belt tight when in the stored position.
Does anyone have a picture or know how it worked?

There is a bracket held in place by the three screws of the sun visor. The shoulder harness snaps into this. The remaining loose end is secured by the snap near the back side of the strap near the mounting bolt.
