1970 Dodge Challenger convertible
** After this car sells, I'll be in the market for a nice 340 A body: Demon, Duster, Dart Swinger, or 69 Formula S
Original & unusual rare color combo of TX9 black exterior, red bucket interior and white manual convertible top & red V7R painted side stripe, (now has tape stripe) Completely numbers matching, with (2) build sheets, & complete owner history, including copies of original title, Chrysler loan application and even Chrysler MSO!! Originally sold new in North Carolina at Colony Dodge (now Triad Dodge-in Winston-Salem) p/s, manual brakes, dual rally painted sport mirrors. 318-2bbl, 904-auto trans w/console & bucket seats. All original body panels. Had one re-paint in the early 1980s.
Interior 99% new: Dash frame removed and sanded /painted, ashtray refurbished, New dash pad, carpet, sun visors, sill plates, rear door panels, freshly restored steering wheel, A.M. radio converted to am/fm/MP3 player but looks stock, standard dash gauges resurfaced & odometer wheel re-lettered, and N.O.S. clock added.Seatbelts refurbished, All new Legendary seat covers front/rear as well as top/glass/boot/well liner. Trunk restored with new trunk mat, space saver & refurbished jack assembly & new inflator canister/ bracket. Lots of new body chrome, emblems, wheel well chrome & antenna. Bumpers (front/rear)& guards re-chromed, with new rubber strips. New BFG Goodrich tires w/steel wheels & dog dish caps. Engine has 84k original miles and has all new belts, hoses, and new OEM Carter carb,etc. 904 Transmission just freshly rebuilt by a noted Mopar trans specialist (Cope Racing Trans) New 2 ½ inch dual exhaust & new 1 inch over stock leaf springs. Solid interior floor pans, torsion bar area,clean & solid frame rails, no swelling in hood hinge area. Comes with new California Car Cover.
All the hard stuff has been done on this car. Excellent running/driving car that will need paint and minor bodywork at some point. Great car for weekend driving or local car shows. Small block Challengers are becoming harder to come by. Dont pass this one up. Serious inquires please.
