1970 dodge dart swinger rear bumble bee stripe

I am having a hard time laying out the rear bumble bee stripe on my dart before I paint it. Anyone have any measurements or suggestions cause as soon as I go from the bottom of the quarters off we the truck lid I keep getting different measurements and the angles if I stay at a 7 1/4 ich strip throws the angles off to make it the same measurement all the way across.
 
as you can see by the picture, they are not straight. It will be very hard to make them correctly with tape. Your best bet is either a paint mask or stencil kit

Great information. The fact it isn’t straight is not a pleasant surprise…… looks like I am looking for the correct bend, or an actual dart decal…. Thanks Ron D

This set has been on my Dart for 25 years
