I am finally putting my engine in my 1970 Duster and I have an older Mallory distributor (3757901) in it, and it appears to be to tall for this car! my question is does any one know who makes a good distributor that will fit in my car and what make and model it is. I have looked at MSD and Jeg's brand but I am not sure of fitment. So, I figured maybe I would ask so some one at A-bodies who already knows! here is a couple of pics of mine!

It's not touching so I'd run it. Love that distributor BTW.
my problem is that I need to raise engine 1/4" per TTI header instruction from the 5' to 5 1/4" from top of k-member to C/L on cranks shaft. I am not sure it will hit then either but I am pretty sure I will not be able to pull distributor out, with out great difficulty!

I would so pull that retainer off and run it.
Ok, maybe different plug wires so it didn't look odd.:D

Go to a 3 speed wiper motor. I think they are much more compact.

Raising the front of the engine will put your distributor closer to the firewall but I doubt it will move it much. All you can do is raise and see if it fits.
