There is a Purple 71 running around Maine w a 72 tail panel. Nice looking car, but id rather have it correct. How does that help cheat in racing? Still has 70-71 side markers. If I were to purchase 1st to happen would be correct tail panel and correct black stripes JMO. But it does appear to be a super nice clean car. GLWS

Guess im not the only one selling a car with the heat not hooked up.
Nice looking car otherwise

Yep would be interested but too much work on the tail panels at that price--Something is just wrong here--Steve

The pictures threw me off. 72 no 71 ooh 70...Love the color!

I'm a 70' guy. Not a later stripe, wing or 72' tail fan. Although I see a modern master cylinder, that doesn't bother me so much.........But with that said, it's a really nice looking car. Good luck with your sale :thumleft:

This is just me, but i always thought the 72,s had the nicest tail lights by far.We are unsure of the work here , but looks very nice in pics.

Hey! What's wrong with that tail panel!!:protest:

That tail panel is PERFECT on a 1972 manufactured Duster 340! But should not be on a 1970 factory 340 Duster as it completely ruins the appearance of originality to the 1970 model year car.

I agree - a 1972 tail panel looks fine, on a 1972 car!

Not 100% sure, but having a 72 tail panel allows the use of 800cfm TQ and intake ,along with a 904 trans in stock class on a 70.

Someone needs to look at class rules.
By converting it to a 1972, you would have to run a low compression 340 & a 727 trans. in a NHRA stock class, that is if they would let you run the 1970 side marker lights.

I have a friend with two NHRA Stocker Dusters.
He used to have to change the rear bumper to run the car as a 1973 (340) or as a 1974 (360).
The car was actully a 1973 340 car.

You could run it as a 1971, if you wanted the Thermoquad.
