1970 Swinger emblem locations

Hey Fellas

I just picked up a 1970 swinger and it has "Dart" and "Swinger" on each quarter panel below the quarter glass. It also has the same "Dart" and "Swinger" on the mid/rear portion of the Fender.

Never seen a car with this many emblems, is this something someone has added or did some cars come with emblems up the waazzo?

The Year one catalogue says that only 2 "Swingers" and 2 "Dart" emblems are needed per car. I have double that. Am I special!!!:-D

Any photo's would be great as well.

The fenders on the car are most likely from a '71 Dart.
 
I think you might be right, because the Passenger fender is in pretty good shape and has the emblems on it and the drivers fender has no emblems and is in rougher shape. But the emblems for the drivers fender are in the back seat, he was probably going to install them rather than plug the holes on the on the other fender.
 
Yeah, the 70 Dart had the emblem on the quarter, and they moved it to the fender in 71. I like the 70 position a lot better.

I second that-
My '71 looks naked without anything back there.
It's getting the emblems in the '70 location when it gets painted
along with a '70 rear bumper.
I can keep my original stuff in case I need to return it to original down the road.
 
I have a '72 Swinger Special with the "Swinger" emblem on the fender and the "Dart" emblem is on the quarter panel behind the door. Is this correct or has someone gone nuts with the emblems? It does NOT have any "Dodge" emblems on the hood or deck lid either.

Sounds like a 70 Dart with 71 Dart fenders.

The Swinger Special is correct.
Swinger Special on the fenders, Dart on the quarter.
 
70 Swinger has both nameplates on the 1/4 below the window
