1971 340 paint ?

whats the best paint to use going to have spray can it. also whats the right color of orange to use for a repaint. thks ed

imho and other profesinal body men, no spray can is the best to put on a car. it is a horrible idea. when/if you ever spray it the right way, you will most likely have to sand ALL OF THAT crap back off.....

Are you asking about the engine color?

If so then it is the Turquoise color. You can get the Mopar paint from the dealer mancini and other places.

If you prep the engine right clean it real good the spray can stuff will come out just fine. It is think so be sure to not spray too much and cause runs in the paint.

I even saw once on tv a guy wire wheeled the block so all the extra bumps and stuff came out smooth. It looked nice but seemed like a lot of work

If you are asking which orange there was a race hemi orange and a street hemi orange. There was also a red.
all can be bought at the dealer usually

any parts store should have engine paint, they have chrysler blue, hemi orange, bunch more, for like $6 a can

color depends on the build date. i believe in spring of 71 they switched from street hemi orange to the blue.

I sprayed my 72 340 Chevy Orange / its what is inside that matters and besides all the part stores have C.O. lol :-D
