1971 Dodge Dart Swinger Special
Numbers matching 318, 904 automatic and factory 8 3/4 rear axle. 67, 900 original miles. One-year-only Citra Yella color with black interior. Factory air conditioning, cruise control, and rubber floor.
Here’s the scoop: I got this car 16 months ago. It was sitting in a field in northern Wisconsin due to someone losing interest in fixing it up. I rescued it and brought it home. The engine didn’t run because some mice got into the drivers side exhaust manifold and put corn kernels on top of the pistons (I have photos). I removed the heads and had them rebuilt. The cylinders looked great! I decided to remove the engine and trans to do some performance upgrades and paint it. I installed a Hughes camshaft, Mopar aluminum intake, and Summit 600 carb with electric choke. Once all together and painted, I put the engine back in the car with a pair of Hedman headers. I also installed new Heartthrob exhaust. I found a set of aluminum slots with BFG tires. The original 14 inch wheels are included. I've been in touch with the original owner's grandson. He told me his grandma was the original owner and she lived in Las Vegas. The big question is: is there rust? Yes, both lower quarters have some rust. The driver's side floor pan has a small hole where a spot welded bracket is attached under the car. It holds a brake line. Its hood has some prior body/paint work. It doesn't quite match the fenders. The rest of the car is looks to be original paint. I just had the driver's seat back reupholstered. The fuel and temp gauge don't work. The transmission shifts well. The A/C compressor needs to be rebuilt. Included are the original wheels, intake manifold, carb, and air cleaner. I have many more photos and videos. I can assist with shipping. I'm only selling this car because this father/son project turned out not to be my son's thing. Located in Minnetonka, MN. Send me a message for additional photos and videos. Asking $12,500 or best offer.
