I circled something on the front fender. what is this?

In the Cl ad its not on the fender.

One of the pictures was taken before I finished putting the wipers, antenna, emblems, and wheel lip mouldings back on. The circled emblem is the V8 emblem. I think the Valiant emblems were only used in 1970.

They are emblems signifying a V EIGHT engine. In 1971 the Twister came standard with a 198 6-cyl. or a 318 8-cyl. the 225 6-cyl. was the optional engine.

The Duster suffered a minor scrape on the edge of the RR Quarter so I am dropping the price to $19,500 OBO. I am motivated to sell so don't be afraid to make an offer if you are interested. Thank you.

The craigslist ads have expired, in the future I will only post pictures in this thread. That being said, there are some pictures in this thread already. I will post pictures more this weekend when I get my computer back. To answer your questions.

The car was in need of a re-paint, it had already been painted before. The original owner had a fender bender (the left fender has been replaced). If it was not for that it would definitely be considered a survivor. This is the original color Amber Sherwood Metallic. Most everything on the car is original including the wheels. It even has the original spare (looks new), trunk mat, and jack assembly in the trunk. I did install new shocks when I installed the new tires but I kept the originals.

Another member asked me to post more pictures of the underside so I put up the Photobucket link. As you can see, there is only light surface rust.

This is a very original documented 38,000 mile car that you can drive and enjoy. Everything works as it should. The previous owner took great care to preserve the original integrity of this car. It still has the original numbers matching 318 engine and automatic transmission. It is also equipped with power steering and power drum brakes. The interior is all original. The paint has been refinished in the original color Amber Sherwood. We replaced (and saved) the original shocks and installed brand new tires. The original spare is in the trunk and appears unused. We have the build sheet, data plate, operator’s manual, and the many of the original parts that have been removed from the car. $16,500

Umm so this car was re-painted? I am confused and not trying to be rude but you claim the car is unrestored, asking high bucks,yet you have pics posted clearly showing paint work being done post #18.

There is a big difference between a paint job and a restoration. The car is very original aside from the paint.
