All,
I am looking to sell or trade my 1971 Plymouth Duster project. I really love this car but I don't have the time or money to keep it around.
Background:
I bought this '71 duster in August of 2016. I bought it from another FABO member. The car was originally a slant six car. One of the previous owners had started a rotisserie restoration on this car. I have a few tubs full of stuff for this car. Many of the bolts that removed from the car were bagged and marked indicating what their purpose on the car was. The previous owner had around $6,000 in this car. The car has a ton of new suspension parts. There is no rust on the frame. The previous owner coated the whole frame with por-15. The previous owner(s) had replaced many of the inside panels. The body has some dents, but little to no rust at all. This car is really solid. The car is located in Central Illinois, by the Indiana Border, off I-74.
Trades?: I definitely would consider trading for something that runs and drives and is in decent shape. With my time limitations, I would like something I could enjoy now. I am interested in just about anything mopar.
The details:
Interior - The doors and dash are in pretty good shape. The dash has one crack in it. I have the front and rear seats. The front seat has a little damage and some paint drips on it. The rear seat is in great shape. The headliner is trashed. The seats are out of the car.
Exterior - All the panels are there, with the exception of the tailight panel. I have not welded the tailight panel in. Most the panels are in good shape, with no rust and just some small dents. The car has new bf goodrich tires. It has rallye rims that were powdercoated, they are in decent shape. The roof has some spots that have been repaired.
Mechanical - The car has a 8 3/4 rear end. The car has new front disc breaks and new, bigger drum breaks on the rear. The car has new KYB shocks. The car has manual steering and manual breaks
What does and doesn't come with the car:
- Disassembled magnum 360. Cam bearings have already been installed. It has a camshaft, pistons, timing cover, harmonic balancer, double roller timing chain, valvetrain(I think its complete), magnum heads, windage tray, mini torque starter, and headers
- '73 340 block with never been used W2 heads
- Edelbrock or holley carb(I think its 750cfm, 4 barrel)
- Denny's Racing Driveshaft
- Borg Warner limited slip differential with 3.55 gears(has the pinion gear).
- 8 3/4 casing(has 8 3/4 rear end), I don't remember the casting number. I also have the crush sleeve eliminating spacer
- Rear taillights.
- Bunch of random stuff - random interior parts, mechanical parts. I really can't think of everything.
Pictures(I can't get these dang pictures to stop repeating)
Please message me and I will try to respond as fast as possible.
