Hello all,

I have been working on my 1971 Plymouth Duster for two years now. I purchased it from another FABO member. I am working nearly 50 hours a week, going to school full time, and in a serious relationship. Unfortunately I don't have the time or the funds to finish this car the way I want to within the next few years. I don't just want to let it sit. I am posting it to see if it garners any interest. The car is a solid roller project. It is originally a slant six car from Arizona. I would love to trade for something that is in driving condition. I want something I can drive and maintain and enjoy. I am interested in just about anything - Darts, Scamps, Dusters, Barracudas, Ramchargers, Satellites, etc... Let me know what you have.

The good:
  • The frame is rust free and has been coated with POR-15
  • It has many new suspension parts
  • It has an 8 3/4 rear axle with a 489 case and a borg warner sure grip unit with 3.55 motive gears
  • It has new axle bearings, seals, etc...
  • It has new bf goodrich tires
  • The car comes with 73 340 block, 72 340 j heads(fully assembled), headers, a 68 340 intake, a holley 4 barrel carb, la timing cover, and ready to go 340 crank(machined and sitting in my bedroom nice and dry)
  • The car also comes with a partial 360 magnum - heads, cam, valvetrain, double roller timing chain, oil pan, harmonic dampener
  • I've got a ton a trim pieces, bolts, and other misc items for the car
  • The seats are in pretty great shape. The rear wouldn't need to be recovered but the front would. The front has one small tear and some paint on it.
  • The interior is in good condition. There is one small crack on the dash pad.
  • The car comes with a built a904 transmission and torque converter
  • Brake lines are installed
  • New gas tank and fuel sending unit is installed
  • I have rear, and side glass. It just needs a windshield.
The bad and the ugly:
  • The car will need bodywork. It is solid, but it will need bodywork and I don't have the knowledge or the time
  • The rear tail light panel needs welded in. I have a new panel for it from AMD but it must be welded in. I have the tail lights for the car.
  • Some of the wiring is in the car. I haven't tested the wiring.
I would love to trade for an A-body that runs and drives. I want something that I can enjoy now. I am interested in Barracudas, Dusters, Darts, and Scamps.

I am located in Central Illinois. I can provide photos of everything upon request.
