Well it has been a long time coming and thanks to a lot of guys on this forum for their help, I am getting very close.

I bought the car way back in 2006 - it ran but was in pretty rough shape.

After a couple of years accumulating parts and tearing the car down it was ready for the body shop.

Some hard hours in the body shop and she was ready to come home to assemble and get running.

As of last Thursday she now runs - took awhile to get the timing set so that it would actually fire, plus a few rookie mistakes but not too bad for my first ever build.

Now the car is back in for final assembly of the body and final paint! I will post more pictures as I can. Pretty excited to get her out on the road this coming spring / summer!

Do you have any more pics?
These ones are just a tease!
Looks good so far, you can tell there was a lot of work put in the car.
Where in Alberta are you?

I have a lot more pics - didn't want to post too many though, plus I get too into working on it to take pictures.

I will post some more pics as I take them - things should move quickly from here on.

I am up in Edmonton. Hopefully hit a few of the cruises this summer.

If you click on the last two photos in the original posts - they are videos of the engine running - any one hear anything off or all good?

what wheels are you going with? I like the cragers that were on the rear in the first pic.

Not sure what wheels I am going to go with - I was thinking the American Racing Outlaw II's. I still have the rear craggers that came with it so I am torn.

So I haven't updated this in awhile. I got so close to getting it all done this year and then got called out for work. Been working straight for the past 6 weeks and the fall weather will likely mean I don't get the duster out on the road until next spring. Gives me lots of time to bang together the last few pieces and build some good custom sub boxes.

Here is a photo of the car out on the driveway when I had it out for the appraisal - was actually the first time I drove it, so could not resist going for a boot around the block.

Thanks for all of the comments guys. Definitely a lot of late nights and hard work, nice to see it paying off.

Here is another picture.

Nice car! Hoping to get my 70 to this point in a year or two. Crazy how much time a baby can take up in a guy's life! LOL!

Great job Bryan, glad the car went to you and you saved it!!Brilliant!

Mark

Hey Mark, figured you might be on this site. Six years ago when I bought it from you it was a different beast for sure. It has been a long ride getting the Duster tore down and rebuilt. Wound up being a pretty solid car to start with which was nice - and surprising given its west coast origin.

We may whip out your way next year with it for a family wedding, would be good to stay in touch.

Bryan.
