Anyone know the deal with these ? I know 71 was air metered 72 they went to solid metering. Any one know why ? Did the factory recall or replace the 71 carbs under warranty if something went wrong with them ?

Thanks, Dave did a carb for my Scamp and will be doing another for the Dart when the time comes.
I also found out I can use a 72 carb in place of the 71.

Adam, I have a survivor '71 Cuda 340 4-spd and I am planning on trying a '72 340 4-spd TQ (#6138) in place of the original (#4972) to see how it runs.
