I recently bought a 72 Dodge Dart Swinger. I've looked around to see what rear end gears are good to run in it. It has a 440 in it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Suggest you figure out what rear end you have, first? e.g. 7¼, 8¼, 8.75.
Second, figure out how you plan to use the car most of the time? e.g. cruising it town, highway cruising, or cruising ¼-mile at a time.

Off hand, I'd suggest 3.23-3.91:1 with a Sure Grip or equivalent.

Its an 8 1/4. Mostly cruising in town but some highway cruising. I dont want the rpm's through the roof when cruising around 70 though. Right now it has a sure grip 8 3/4 with 2.88 gears. I'm not really sure what the sure grip actully does. I talked to a few people and they said it locks the rear end like posi. They said driving on the road with that wouldn't be good because when I go around a corner the tires would chirp.
