I've heard rumours of the Demon Sizzler package continuing on into the 1972 model year but I've never seen any factory literature or even a photo of a car. Was the Sizzler package offered on the 1972 Demon models and if so, what did the package consist of?

yes it was continued into 72. it is code a59. it consists of racing mirrors, 6.95 by 14 whitewall tires, special moulding trim, tuff wheel, vinal and plaid cloth bench seat, full carpeting, flat black hoodtreatment, body side and rear stripes, rallye wheels, body color grille frame and sizzler name decal on hood. i will try to dig up a 72 sizzler pic.......

Sizzlers were simliar to the Duster Twister in that it was designed to look like a 340 car for those that wanted the look without the insurance BS in having 340 power. Had one of the best hood treatments I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure the slant six was standard and the 318 was the only engine option. Late 71 and added the twin snorkel for early 72. Also here is a link the 71 brochure ad.

I've never seen a 72 Sizzler. For that matter I haven't seen a whole lot of 71 Sizzlers either. I'd love to see a pic of one.

I thought the pack was dropped after '71 but Dodge continued to use the same hood graphics without the "sizzler" decal on the front. I have never seen a '72 with the A59 code.

My 71 Demon came with the Sizzler package but the grille was not painted body color. Is this unusual?

I had a 72 sizzler it came from factory 340 six pack with the snorkel hood scoops and headers that is what I am recreating now if i can find a fender that is ( missing link )

Nope. Only cars painted Plum Crazy, Hemi Orange or Citron Yella got the body-coloured grilles... all other colours got the regular argent grille.

Thanks, I had always wondered about that.

They never made a 72 Six Pack from the factory, but maybe you had a GSS as Mr. Norm did make a few 72 GSS cars with the Six Pack set-up. I have heard of four so far. The striping on the hood were the same as the Sizzler but there was no Sizzler wording on the front edge of the hood. Do you have any pictures of your old car you could post?
