I think the time has come for me to part with this car for her own good. I have a lot of time and money invested and just want to see her go to a good home.
I started with a roughly 60% complete car about 3 year ago and began trying to get the thing back on the road again. Details follow:
Rust repair
-2 New AMD quarters
-Full AMD trunk floor and extensions
-2 small patches on the tail panel
-Goodmark driver floor pan
-small patch in the trans tunnel
-whole car sprayed in rust inhibitor
Motor
-non matching late 70s d150 318
-roughly 20,000 miles
-new fuel pump
-new carburetor, edelbrock performer 600cfm
-new plug wires
-new coil
-new voltage regulator
-aluminum radiator out of d150
-new engine wire harness from classic industries
-factory manifolds, Cherry Bomb Extremes, dump at axle
-90 degree oil filter adapter
-rerouted charging system
Trans/Rear
-Matching A833
-complete factory Hurst shifter
-brand new z bar linkage from Brewers Performance
-Zoom clutch
-matching 8 3/4 with open 3.55s
-Mopar performance pinion snubber
Suspension/Brakes/Chassis
-All new shocks
-new strut rods
-manual steering
-new pitman and idler arms
-new calipers and pads
-new rotors
-new brake lines and hoses throughout from Inline Tube
-new fuel lines from tank to fuel pump (3/8) also Inline tube
-New fuel tank from Classic Industries
-New master cylinder
-Rebuilt booster by Karps Power Brakes
-New rear drum hardware and hoses
Interior
-Original buckets seats in great condition
-Back seat in fair condition
-have all door panels, need to be redone
-no carpet or headliner
-tach, voltmeter, water temp, and oil pressure gauges mounted on dash (all easily removed)
-original dash, needs work also
-also have original AM radio for the car as well as heater controls
I'm sure I missed something here or there. Overall, this is well put together, running, driving, car that I am sure could potentially be put back to its original glory with a lot of the ground work already done and lots of time and money invested. The rust repair was done by myself while I had a close friend of mine who is a ASE certified auto/diesel/motorcycle tech with over a decade of experience working with Mopars specifically, mainly trucks and A Bodies. So you can rest assure this car runs, drives, starts, stops, and just works extremely well for what it is. Recently, I have decided to pursue my dream of building a protouring car and I feel this car is not the proper candidate due to its rarity. That being said, the car's fender tag is missing but the H code is clearly in the vin and the original floors show that it is a four speed car. The car has torque boxes, obviously factory and not aftermarket. The body doesn't have a single dent, didn't when I bought it and all rot has been eradicated. Looking at the car, I believe it had one repaint to white but upon removing the trim and interior, I see B5 blue everywhere which I know to be the factory color. Last photo shows the car when I bought it in August of 2014.
