Thought I would just add the folding rear seat pieces today but found other issues,, of course I expected some ,,here are some pictures of areas that now I need to address , was hoping not to do the trunk floor area but it has pitting on floor and trunk extensions have rust down at bottom of quarter panels but the quarter panel I think I can save ,, but the trunk floor areas have issues on extensions and joint areas , pictures show some issues as the trunk floor extensions have issues and pitting on trunk floor surface areas ,, and the seams look bad under the seam sealer joints so I am cutting out the trunk floor ,,I already have the a new rear tail panel an front an rear bumpers purchased , so why stop now lol

It might be a blessing in disguise....lol. You can whack the trunk floor out, brace the car up good and level both ways, and be able to stand up to swap out the package tray and all the stuff that has to be done to add a fold down back seat. Might be as good of a time as any to mini tub it! :)

Will definitely help with the seat hardware

Cut out the rear tail panel and started on trunk floor , have lots of work and short of time , but pictures are for me to document the build ,,waiting on trunk floor an new extensions to arrive , still considering the way of removal of rear dash panel to install the folding seat and hardware

Always a hidden surprise , looks like a previous owner did fiberglass the lower quarter panels on both sides , thought it didnt look just right , looks like they covered up rust with no real repair

I bought both sides AMD quarter panels and am only planning on using from the 2/3 of the rear tire opening forward. If interested, I would sell both sides, the back haves / lower portion for $200 to your door. PM me if interested.

I just ordered the lower patch panels from AMD like 30 minutes ago ,,sorry

working on my rear package tray , decided not to cut out the trunk hinges an supports , made some measurements an cut out front edge to replace with the piece cut from the donor package tray , should look good when finished and covered , will add a bottom support in areas to weld together , enjoying vacation an some progress for now as once back to work will be slow progress

little progress today , getting the folding seat area in shape , haven't welded yet but turning out good, floor area is good except drivers an I will be getting back on that soon with the 4spd hump,,,looked closer at front windshield area and so far all the upper and sides look good , one spot down lower corner has one small hole light pitting all else looks good , of course haven't seen the lower to cowl area yet until windshield is pulled but it seems ok ,,there was a lot of caulk or silicone around the windshield trim and was worried as it looked horrible but appears very little to repair ,,the rear looks even better so far but haven't pulled the glass yet ,

some people should never pickup wire cutters or strippers lol , believe this car stopped in its tracks after finding some of the wiring getting jumped out to make lights work or whatever they tried to do , main harness has several melted wires and probably made worse by someone that butchered the harness when the first problem occurred,,but other than that the fenders an doors are very solid as well as the inner fenders ,,one issue on passenger fender were it mounts at top but not hard to fix ,,some surface rust but over all a 48 year old car is fairly solid ,,stripped body down some more so far so good,,just lots of cleaning an going to use some por-15 to help protect

got windshield out and and windshield channel is all good , just the one area in corner has a small issue of rust , getting ready to drop dash , then ready to weld in floor pan on drivers side and waiting on trunk pans ,,but there's lots of cleaning an sanding to do before paint

I dont have a build sheet or fender tag but the original color is a bright green , I believe its Bright Green DT-7596 2224 (1972)
Kinda hard to tell. Digital pix to funny things to photo colors, especially metallics. Any choice on colors yet?

Yea the camera phone is not great for pictures
I am leaning on doing white bucket seats an rear seat with black carpet all the way into trunk , and red exterior with a 340 white side stripe and dual scoops on the hood ,,but haven't ruled out black interior or for sure on doing the red yet , I am going to most likely buy a shark tooth grill and the rest is all up in the air until I decide on color

Worked on welding all small pieces for fold down seat and test fitting all the other pieces , so far so good , need to work a little on my angle for the rear piece of wood and may have to make a new piece as previous owner cut speaker holes up high an to close , I dont mind putting speakers on it but I want them spaced differently an more centered , but will see,,I want to find an old school Pioneer KEX-20 GM-4 AMPLIFIERS,Kp9600, K20X. EQUALIZER components and some good triaxial speakers in the rear and some others in front
if I can find as that's what I have in my old challenger and old Pioneer is one of my favorite stereos for these old cars

Lowe's, Home Depot, and probably other hardware stores sell Maple plywood (and sometimes oak and other higher quality plywood varieties). Once you paint & carpet it, the actual grain pattern won't be visible. However, better-than-pine quality plywood will make for a more durable piece. Use your old panel to make a pattern to cut your new one. Add speaker cut-outs where you want them, and mount your clasps & hinges where they were on your old piece.

Ordered the ESPO springs an shackles an bushings an everything needed , got 5% off since there on back order for around 2 months but hey it aint going to be ready by then anyways
