1972 Duster With 1973 Duster Split Bench Seat Questions

Hi All,

I have a '72 Duster with what I believe is a '73 Duster split bench seat (no armrest) in it. I believe the seat is a '73 because of the hinge covers, the soft back (the seat vinyl covers the entire back) and the fact that they fold completely forward.

My questions are:

I need a new bright blue seat cover, and they don't make them for a '73. So will a '72 cover work? Will it cover the entire back of the seat?

Call Legendary - they might be able to custom make a 73 style cover in the blue you need and possibly in the 72 seat insert style. They did a 66 Barracuda interior in the 65 metallic blue color for me.

Do you need to replace the foam too? Starting in’ 72 the springs were moulded into the foam and no one reproduces the ‘72+ foam yet. If you don’t need new foam and, the style and size of the front seat is the same between 72 and 73, then it should work.
