1972 Scamp 2-door hardtop.

Ran great but exhaust manifold cracked.have new one partially installed but still leaks. Car needs a new home before it snows.Low milage slant six. Red with black interior awesome car but just don’t have time or space anymore. willing to consider interesting trades for tools an older motorcycle or pretty much anything cool that’s smaller than the scamp including a black topper for a ford ranger.Body is solid except for drivers floor some of trunk and passenger quarter panel. All glass is good. Also have electronic distributor for it (not installed). It was converted to power disc breaks up front and stops great.

My son bought this Scamp as his first car. He's 15 and a day. A newbie for sure. We bought it home yesterday, and he wanted to work on right away today. He's excited. I'll try to get him to join.
{Those bumperetts look like some add ons from Whitney or some such. Was driven in North Jersey and New York, so I could see that.}

Went to the NJ DMV today, that crazy looking NY title was good, like you said it was.
Already finding parts (as cheap as we can get them of course) Are those belts and hoses new, they look it? We were gonna replace them on our to-do list, but one still has the paper on it.

Mike glad to hear it! PM me your address and i'll send that electronic distributor i have. Its an easy bolt on and will give you better performance than the points.

some belts/hoses were replaced by the previous owner a year and a half ago. There's a new ac belt in the trunk but i never confirmed it was the right length. They made about 100 different configurations.
