Any one else doing a sleeper 4 door? I plan on putting a mild 440 in it in the spring.

Mine wasn't much of a sleeper after I took it off the street. In the photo it still had the Slant six running mid 13's. 8 years ago I got a Indy 500'' short block and everything else to build and install the big block when the slant let go . Never did,, I sold the car as is last summer. I plan on doing another 4 door when I find the right car. I have no problem with 4 doors...

I have always wanted to build a 4 door A body or B body sleeper.I have a built 383 just sitting on a engine stand I just need a body, tranny, and rear end.

I just picked up 70 Valiant 4-door with 225 Slant 6 a few months ago. Not going this crazy with engine - The more I drive the Slant 6, the more I like it. I have an old 318 in the garage ready for rebuild if I ever needed to go 8 cylinders...

The 4 door thing is really cool - I've always liked their look. The wifes 74 Duster is a good looking car, but something about the functionality of 4 doors.

Several years ago I thought about doing exactly this, but probably with a stock 400. The car was going to have be fairly loaded including AC.

We did do a 383 swap into a 67 Barracuda fastback with AC and power steering. We did use manual brakes, but that's the way I like these cars. The 383 was pretty much very stock with an HP cam (Magnum/road runner engine) and a 750 Edelbrock carb on top of a factory intake. It was built to sell so we didn't put a lot of miles on it, but it was the sort of car that you could enjoy driving short or long distances.

This car is loaded with everything but a/c. Got to love it. Just found a cast aluminum 50 year member AAA plate for the front of the car, forgot about it, it was in a box with the rear bumper guards.

here is a friends 4 door...

Real nice, What kit did he use. Thought about the tailpipe also.

Those Dart SEs and Valiant Broughams are nice inside.

Velour buckets (even in 4 some doors) a/c, puffy padded door panels, etc...

Mine is tan velour almost perfect front and rear benches. Wish It had buckets.

I got the Schumacher mount kit to use the slant K to big block. I have used many of the Schumacher kits for different engines and body styles,, all work well.

Last year a friend pick this one up in CA and is his daily driver in Rockford Il. I tried to buy it or trade him my 79 300 but he wouldn't deal, that would have been perfect for a BB swap. I even had the 8 3/4 to slide under it .

Yeah, I wanted it before it went to the rust belt of the country. I like those bucket seats with the buddy seat/arm rest !
Three doors up from me a 74 is sitting in the garage, The owner wouldn't sell as it was his departed wifes car. He died about 2 years ago and left everything to family in Calif. The house sits untouched,, I hope that I can catch someone around IF anybody ever shows up. I was told the estate it tied up in a legal battle among family members.

That looks just like mine except the color and interior. Nice ride!

Documented buckets and buddy seat in 4 door A body.

Cool.

Back in the 80's I drove a customers burgundy/tan Valiant Brougham 2 door 318, and thought they were very cool "under the radar" cars ever since.
