1974 Dart Swinger Door Hinge ?

Any one ever repalce the S spring on lower door hinges. Must hinge be removed, any special tool needed? My Swinger needs spring replaced on lower driver door.

Hey Dave,
I just rebuilt upper and lower hinges on my 69 swinger including springs . My doors were removed from the car already but the hinges were still attached to the car and i just used a screw driver to take some tension off the springs and tapped them up with a hammer and released tension . It was very easy to do with doors off .

Thanks, I will try to install with hinge in place, if no success, then I will support door, mark around hings, then remove it.

This door slammed into my shin bone last summer!
