Here is a nice rust free example of a 74 dart se. Ok almost rust free! The spare tire well is rusted out but the rest of the car is solid! When I got the car it was still wearing its original paint, but the arizona sun took care of that years ago. It had surface rust on the hood and trunk and quite a few dents in the body. I sanded all of the surface rust off and primered all of the areas that were bare metal. Then wet sanded the entire car and painted it the original K8 moon stone brown. It looks great, nice and shiney but it does still have dents and dings. The interior was all refreshed with new paint and detailing. The headliner is not very old and in good shape, same with the carpet. The front seats are out of a later model chrysler car so the drivers seat is 8 way adjustable and power! They are really comfortable, and I just put new seat covers on it front and rear. The engine runs like a champ, original 318 and a 904 trans. The intake is an edelbrock four barrel, and has a carter afb on top. The factory a/c works awesome! It has been retrofitted to r134. The transmission was pulled out, inspected and resealed. It works perfectly. It has the good old 8.25 rear axle with drums on the rear. The front retains the factory disc brakes. It looks to be a well optioned car being that the fender tag is full, plus it also has another one screwed to it aswell. The car runs and drives great, took it out last night for a couple of hours cruising the highway with no issues. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
