1974 Dodge Dart sport: sometimes doesn't fall in park?

Sometimes my column shift dart sport 360 doesn't want to fall in park. I have to sometimes push harder to to make it go in park. Also most of the time it starts fine in park but then if I drive it then try to start in park nothing. But will start in neutral. Is this a adjustment related issue? Please help me out.

could be just an adjustment on the shifter linkage. easy to do.

supposed to be adjusted in park anyway...
