A customer of mine has recently purchased all the stuff needed to convert the car (74 RR) to a 4 speed, now, did Brewers supply the correct shift rods? The rods would make it such that the rear-most shifter mounting position would be used! I thought that location was for "E" body cars only! What's the correct shifter mounting location for a 1974 Road Runner?

B body from 1971-1974 used the same console, shift linkages and shifter location as 1970-1974 E body. This would be long tail shaft A833 and rear most shifter location.

B body from 1966 - 1970 used the long tail shaft A833 and forward most shifter location.

Hope this helps.

Also the 4 speed trans tunnel bump out and console brackets for the 4 speed on your 74 RR conversion should be the same as 70-74 E body.

That's the answer I want to hear!
