I've spent the day searching the forums getting some tips on what headers to use on my 75 Plymouth Duster with stock 318. I've heard a lot about Doug's and TTI headers, but after looking into them I found Doug's headers cannot be used with a 727 transmission.

The car is all stock but I've gotten to the point where I want to start putting some performance into it. The car has power steering, power breaks, it used to have AC, but I ripped that out, a Nippon Denso mini starter, and a 727 Torqueflite.

At first cost was ideal, but the more I read on here, the more I found people saying to stay away from cheap headers. That's fine - I'd much rather have something that works well and minimal amount of trouble; something I won't regret later.

So any ideas on the best headers for a 318 with a 727, PS, PB? The stock manifolds are looking pretty rough and I've read they can be awfully restrictive which is another reason for pulling those off.

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom...
Ben

Dougs headers WILL work with power steering/power brakes/spool mounts/727 tranny. They really need to update their information. Also make sure you use a mini starter, if you don't YOU WILL be sorry that you didn't when it stops working

Oh really? Well that helps me out. I've already got a nippon denso mini starter but I'm noticing some heat soak issues. I think it's time to buck up for a Mopar perf model.

Thanks for the help!
