Please help if you can. I am having an issue with windshield trim fittment. As you can see in the photo. Is there a difference in windshield trim From a Dart Sport to a Duster? Year cross? Maybe wider? Also please take notice of trim line on driver side, It looks like it should go down more. I am not sure what year car this trim is from currently on my car. Notice the Gap by the windshield seal. The trim appears to be lined up all the way around. I have changed all the trim clips and gasket. I am also trying to install the lower A-pillar trim in the pix. The driver side had two holes. One for the stud and one for the screw. It went on without issue and looks right. The passenger side has one hole. I was going to drill a new hole but I am reluctant to do so until I get trim issue fixed. I guess it is possible the hole was filled in during the paint and body process. Any info would help. Thanks Tod [email protected]

Slappy, I dont recall any difference in thickness of window trim between Duster and Dart Sport. To my knowledge 70 to 76 was the same, Duster or 73 to 76 Dart Sport. The a pillar trim should have the one screw hole and one guide pin = two holes about 3/4 of an inch apart on the a pillar. Perhaps on the upper gap in the pic the seal needs a little 'tweaking'??? I do recall noticing a little difference in thickness of glass on a Early Duster I had at one time. It was not the back glass but the side glass I was working with. I am not a scientist on this as I have only had later Dart Sports but I did use some rear trim from a 71 Duster on my rear window with no issues. Maybe someone with a Dart Sport and an early Duster on this site could measure the width of their trim and post it and see if there is any difference in width thickness???

Slappy, after looking at the pic again it is the seal that needs some tweaking. Look at the lines on either side of the curve at the top of the window and how the seal and trim line up. Just at the curve is the trim and seal taking a different course. Looks like the trim has to come off and and perhaps take a small to medium plastic putty knife and round the spreading edge and corners and just push the corner along the edge of the window until you get the desired countour.

Thanks Chas for responding. I will let you know how it goes. Tod
