In the photo, you see the switch and the nut that holds it in place. It seems like there should be another piece between the switch and the nut, but it’s been so long since I’ve taken this apart I can’t remember.
Thanks. I'm installing an electronic cluster that requires the stock bezel be extensively modified without any instructions whatsoever. I found a video on YouTube that showed just enough detail for me to figure out that I need to hack the old metal bracket that resides on the back of the stock cluster.No, the shank on the switch should fit tight in the dash "keyhole" and bottom out against the back of the cluster frame. The nut just holds it in place.
