SUPPORT OUR NEW RESTAURANT - BUY THIS CAR!

My wife and I run a small restaurant in Miamisburg, Ohio (near Dayton). We have recently expanded, and are selling to raise cash for the build-out.

This Duster has been in resto for about three years. As usual, what started out as 'just a few things' turned into much, much, more. Other than the dash being a bit rough (dash cover missing), the interior is pretty decent. (It was redone at some point, but not by me.)

Mechanically, almost *EVERYTHING* is either new, or reconditioned/repaired.

Here are the stats:

1976 Plymouth Duster 2-dr - 4-speed manual
Slant-6 I-225 Engine - NEWLY REBUILT by Performance Machine in Dayton
(This was a new total rebuild. Less than 15 miles on it.)

Added 2-bbl carb and Super-6 Intake system

All of the following are brand new:
- front disc brakes (including new spindles)
- master cylinder & power booster
- all steel brake lines
- radiator
- alternator
- starter & flywheel
- clutch
- shocks
- exhaust

Rear drums completely rebuilt, including steel lines

Brand new Westlake radials and Cragar S/S wheels

Brand new paint job in gloss black

Brand new front windshield

New gauges (temp, oil press, volts) and tach

Wiring harness was repaired and tested

Runs strong, sounds great!

All work done by Red Zone Automotive and Performance Machine

Asking $11,000 - will consider offers.

(You don't even want to know how much has been invested in it. Yes, I am well aware that it is impossible to even begin to recoup investment on a project like this.)

You can drive this car down to the nearest rally TODAY. It looks nice, sounds great, and drives well. Please PM with any questions. Need to sell - need cash!

is this a Feather Duster ?

I am not sure. It certainly didn't have the "Feather Duster" stickers when I got it. It does have a few of the attributes (although the carb & intake have been upgraded as noted).

Does anyone know if there is a way to identify a "Feather Duster" by VIN number, or other solid method?

feather duster had AL hood bracing..."aluminum parts including the intake manifold, bumper brackets, hood and trunk bracing" as well as a <2.76 rear end.

Till you get a magnet, a quick visual check of the hood would show "crimps", about 1/2" x 3/16"", obvious on the sides, that help hold the aluminum underside bracing to the steel top if it's a Feather Duster part.

My camera broke yesterday so I can't take a photo of the crimps on one of the Dart Lite hoods I have. :(
