1977 DODGE ASPEN "ROLLER" $2800, located in Jennings FL
THIS CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IDLE FOR FAR TOO LONG. IT'S TIME FOR IT TO FIND A NEW HOME THAT WILL ALLOW THIS PROJECT TO REACH IT'S FULL POTENTIAL.
I originally got this car as a roller myself (Dec. 2011) and to get it running and driving, I purchased a running '77 Aspen station wagon and transferred it's driveline (318, 904 and 8.25 rear) into my Aspen using the existing headers, along with adding a four barrel intake and 500 cfm Eddy carb and had fun with this car as a street toy, however impractical as it may have been.
Always intended to build this into a full time drag race bracket car and in late 2016 removed the engine and transmission (BIG MISTAKE) and started "Johnny Cashing" it together by starting from the rear and adding the back-braced 8.75" rear axle housing that has Strange 5.13 pro gears, spool and axles. Rear suspension now consists of Cal Trac bars and Cal trac split mono leaf springs. The frame rails have been tied together and has a driveshaft loop. Wildwood disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear.
The car has a fiberglass 6 pack hood, deck lid and front bumper. Complete set of gauges, Griffin radiator, 1 5/8" headers.
The pictures that I've included show the car in it's past and present state and I can provide additional photos and video to serious inquiries.
I truly prefer phone conversations versus typing texts and emails, so please PM me for contact info and any additional questions you may have and I'll get back to you as quickly as I possibly can.
Thanks for looking and let's find this car a GREAT NEW HOME!!
Thanks for the ad FABO, Alan!
