Hey everyone my name is Eric I want to rebuild my 318 bore cam all the street legal hot rode I can get out of my old truck. I don't wanna bore to a 340. Would be cool to get some suggestions. Where to find kits, parts, the whole 9 yards the best pair up of transmission, rear end tires that hook the best. Of course I want to drag race. Need to get back to healthy er hobby. So

What’s the goal of the truck? Runs on pump gas? What cylinder head are you going to run?

You can’t bore the 318 to a 340 size. You can easily bore it .060 and that would make it a 327.79 cubic inches. Keith black makes the pistons in a flat top or dome, you’ll need to know what head your using first.

And that’s where you start. Everything else comes later as the parts you use and goal become known.
