Got out to the track for the first time this year. Only change to the car is a new trans with a brake. First pass with the brake blew the fancy billet universal u straps all over the track. Got it fixed and decided to just foot brake it for the rest of the weekend till I can address that problem with something stronger. Went out the next morning and on the first pass blew the drag radials off. Back to the pits and bolted on 10.5x28 slicks. Next pass it all came together, short burnout, stage and leave at 1000 rpm letting the convertor flash to 3500. Left hard and felt like a real good pass. Picked up the time slip and wasn't disappointed. 10.98 at 121mph, first 10 sec pass in the car. Looking forward to trying the trans brake again next time.
