225 Oil Dipstick loose in tube....

Ok so i pulled this thing out months ago b/c it was loose and banging around in there but can't find a freakin dipstick for the car! posted in the parts wanted forum but nothing....any of u guys have a good one that it tight in the engine? car is a 73 225 swinger and the stick is around 18inches long from tip to the base around the bottom of the handle......

Although I am not a /6 expert, I have used 3/8" fuel line to make dip stick tubes for my 340. The trick is to get the length just right once pushed into the block. But you can always recalibrate the dip stick if it isn't measuring the right oil level.

Try a slight bend in the stick or a sparkplug boot over the tube leaving a inch or so above the tube. The stick stop ring will fight tight in the boot. I got one on my slant.
If the tube in the block is loose clean the tube and block and silicone the tube in.
