1978 225 Slant six and 904 trans for trade (six pack of beer your choice is the trade) must pick up in Escondido CA. Will not ship.
The good: new water pump, oil pump, timing chain set and new motor mounts. Spark plugs, dist cap and wires. Also reman. Dist. from NAPA but with a bad plastic gear. Low mileage engine around 75,000 If I recall.
The bad: wiped the bronze gear on the cam and in turn took out the plastic gear on the dist. Engine would need to be completely dis-assembled and cleaned up of any metal from the dist gear. No intake but have two exhaust manifolds to go with it.The 904 trans will need to be rebuilt as it slipped going into 3rd.
Basically I want it gone so make me an offer.
Ran great until the cam gear went bad, no smoke on startup and good power for a slant.
