[Found!] 273 Commando decal

Anyone know of a supplier for the chrome air cleaner decal? I peeled mine off to replace it and the replacement is actually on thin metal.

The originals were printed on thin aluminum, at one time there was someone reprinting your original.

Now only decals, Classic industries has them.

Thanks Al, mine is a thin piece of metal. Not sure about sticking it to air cleaner, the metal is fairly stiff.

You have a new metal one? do you remember whare you got it?

The original one I pulled off was just put down with contact cement.

Yes I believe I got it from Ulf. Heres a pic of sticker style I just removed. Seems like the metal on new one is pretty thick to confirm to shape.

I'd have to dig out the original one i have and measure the thickness. Maybe carefully press it over your thigh to help form it.

That's just a decal. Ulf's is like the original painted plate.

I saw that but it just needs to come together at the ends. When properly placed, the ID is very close to where the air cleaner tapers to the wingnut.

I don't think it is in the cone, it is still flat, just laying there.

When I hold it in place the gap tightens up nicely, just gotta put a good amount of psi on it

The metal one should be easy to put on once you get it formed. My 10 year old niece did my sticker and got it near perfect.
