Always fun to se them all painted up and sitting on the mounts.

All 273's 64-67 had those rockers...68-69 were hydraulic, like the 318 of those years.

yes sir Val, I know all 273's had 'em, I just like to see 'em. :) I wish mother mopar stayed with those rockers all through the years. But I guess there wasn't a need when they went away with the solid cam in '68

LOL. I like those too!

Thanks. that knucklehead who shot the place up was just a punk kid who needed to be eradicated. He just proved even more why the Second Amendment is so very important. Gavin Newscum can...I better not. turn this into a political thread, i'll get timed out. Anyways, i'll be at the Mopar show in Madera =San Joaquin ValleyMopar club tomorrow. Car show and swap.

I wouldda thought the manifolds red too wouldda been too much, but it's not. It looks real good.

Has the original Commando cam. It is an automatic. I would have liked a 4 speed, but had surgery on my arm to repair torn ligaments I felt this was a better option for me.

I know the manifolds will not stay red very long but painted them for protection. This has been a project that has taken much longer than I had planned

And that's the way the factory did it. When you get it running the paint will burn off and look just like it did 50 years ago.

Looks great sitting in there!!! That's a feel good milestone, for sure!!

It's all downhill from here to firing it up.

BTW, they ALL take longer than expected. At least you kept at it.

When you get it fired up, if you could post a video, I'd like to hear the cam. I have a commando that has a flat Erson hyd that was in it when i got it. I'm interested in the idle of the stock commando cam.
Happy Moparing

Probably Wednesday before I can start wiring and installing everything. Hope after that it starts ok. Going to run the exhaust as well

I went with the Eastwood exhaust manifold paint, looks great when first done.

After 10 years (as a driver) it has held up well, little rust coming through. May hold up better with better preparation.
