They will bolt on, but whether or not they are dimensionally close enough to correct with a line hone is another question. And they are shorter than real 340 caps.
 
The correct answer is no. UPS lost a 340 cap that I had sold so I figured I would take one off a 273, then looked at a 318, and they are MUCH less beefier...

Bolts are longer on a 340 vs. 273, 318 . If using a windage tray you will need the 318 windage tray bolts or add two hemi head bolt washers under each windage tray bolt or 340 bolt used. but they do fit. Just not as strong for a performance high output 340.
