I recently purchased a 66 Dodge Dart GT with a rebuilt 273. It originally had a 2bbl carb but someone had replaced it with a Edelbrock 4bbl. What changes would i need to convert to the high performance 273 offered for that year?

Source yourself a service manual for the year of the car for starters. You will need to change the pistons and cam for starters if they haven't already been changed.

Pistons, cam and intake; the 253HP 273 used 10.5 compression pistons, the cam had more lift and duration, would also require different springs, the intake was cast iron single plane, just use the intake you have now

And a dual point distributor as well. The chrome air cleaner and wrinkle finish valve covers are Charger/Commando specific and for looks only but correct for those engines.

Actually, the HiPo 273 was 235hp, not 253....

When was the change-over for the intake manifold bolt angle? I see there's an edelbrock intake being used, did the heads get swapped out too, or is there an early ede' available for the early design?

64 and 65 were the first and odd years. . It changed in 1966.

The change occurred between the 65 and 66 model year.........65 is odd angle, 5/16 bolt, 66 is same as all other LA engines and 3/8 bolt

Exhaust mani's were the same too. Did the dress up package also include a chrome alternator bracket and oil cap?

No alt bracket. Chrome Hemi oil fill cap and chrome pcv cap.

Individual wire holders on the 65 and 66. 2 cylinder combination looms on the 67

Since it's not original, I would yank the little motor and put something bigger in it.
