273 Rods.

Hi. I just got me a frozen to death 1965 273 commando, but all internals is just fine. Now, these lighter rods, if polished up, what HP/RPM are they capable of. I hear some racers favoured them. I`m thinking to put the Crank (very fine forged) and rods in a 318 (Hot) .Thoughts ?

We have run them @450HP in our stock eliminator 30 years ago.
But there are lighter and much better inexpensive aftermarket rods
available today already ready to install. Example = SIR series rods.

Hi John, Just curious, you know. I got some Scat I beams, and Eagle H beams. But it`s good to know what they are capable of. I`ll put them to use. Thank`s . Ubbe.

I would change the rod bolts to ARP bolts before I ran them. Bolts are typically the weak link.65'
