I am having trouble getting the choke to open all the way. very fast idle. Replaced thermostat and tried to adjust found my service manual it read do not adjust. other thing is carb. spacer/gasket is about 1/8" if that were taller that might help THANKS

1, 2 3, 6, 8 barrel carb?? Thermostat? Adjust? With a hammer maybe....or a drill.
Pictures help. Bend the rod till the choke is all the way open at operating temp.
