I need a picture of the stock motor mounts from a 273, i have 65 barracuda and swaping in a 360/727, 273 mounts are a no go, I just need to know that mine are right or wrong 273 mounts, pass was suppose to be the same and driver side needed a spacer, however the mounts are just to tall, swapping left or right side

The passenger side mounts are all the same. The 273-318 driver side mount are different from the 340-360.

Of course, I'm old and it may be the opposite of that, but the upshot is one side is the same and the other side is different between the 273-318 and 340-360.

Which is which. There not like the mounts on the 69 340 car. Either one pass to driver side

The mount up front with the isolated is suppose to be a 273 but is it left or right. The other mount in pic is from a 67 barracuda 318 pass side mount

The one with the mount hooked to it should be the drivers side. And that's the one you need a 340-360 mount for.

Look in the for sale section. I see them there every now and then. If I had one, I'd give it to you for free.

Driver side 67 318 mount very close to a 69 340 mount except it need piece welded on and a hole about where my finger is. So what isolater do i go with the 65 dont work unless i cut a flange off them i think a 67 up might work but i think the engine will sit ti low and then oil pan becones the next issue

Pass mount installed, the only other explanation is the 727. Maybe there is more to the modification then flattening the seam on the fire wall

Ok, I forgot the isolators may be thicker on the early A's. You should be able to use the OE insulators with the 340-360 mounts and be fine. The early A's have a K member has a different angle where the isolators sit. IIRC that angle is more shallow than the 67 and later A's.

Damn. It's been so long since I had my 65 it's hard to remember all the crap you have to do to get a 340-360 to fit in there.

Honestly, I dont remember the isolator mounting like that.

I'm just screwing you up. Maybe move this thread to the early A forum for better help.
