3.665 stroke 440?

I took my engine parts to the machine shop.he told me my crank is 3.665 stroke.when they cut rod journals to chevy 2.2 they destroked it.I am confused the guy I got it from said it was a 496 lol.didnt add up.has 6.800 2.2 chevy grp rods and 213458 grp pistons.he said someone made this combo this way on purpose.he said it comes out to a 440.should wind up nice.what do u think?

gee, if they would have cut the crank towards the outside of the journals it would have been stroked. your crank might be a leftover from the old prostock days when that was popular for the cubic inch to weight rule.
