Update, they where making some noise during deacceleration, so he purchased a new set of Richmond 3.91's (489 case) part number 69-0058-1
and install kit, had a machine shop install them and they too made the same noise. I hope this helps.

Another update, he finally got the gears for me and they aren't 489 case like he thought, but rather from a 741 with a coarse spline pinion,
