3 on the tree column question

Double posting a question I put in Suspension and steering, because there's more traffic here.

Do all of the shifting guts come out of one of these columns pretty easy? I have one I need to put back into a car, and don't need the 3 on the tree shifting parts. I want to basically make it into a floor shift column. This is a column from a 70 Duster. Any help appreciated.

There are posts on here showing how to make a tree shift into a floor shift type column.
