hi guys i have a 318 at home thinking about building it one question i have the 3769973 heads on it just wondering what is the cc on these head if it lower i was going to have the head redone with bigger valaves or is there a better budget head to use let me know thanks

They are between 63 to 69 cc; better heads would be 302's or magnums (if you want to spend the money). 302's with 1.88, 1.6 valves would be a nice wake up.

Good luck.

If rebuilding, What pistons are you gonna run if something like KB 167 and zero decked, unless you want 10:1 CR your gonna need open chamber heads. If a stock type piston your gonna need closed chamber and thin gasket and milling to get a decent CR like 9:1. If going with stock replacements find a compression pin height of 1.741" it will make it easier to get 9:1. I'd go KB's zeroed with 360 heads with a little milling and thin gasket to get 9:1.

You should invest in the economy head CC kit. It's pretty cheap and will give you a good feel of how to measure CCs. Not trying to be a smartass......it would give you a chance to actually learn something by doing it yourself. What's that thing about you can slap a man upside the head with a fish...but you can teach him to catch his own fish and slap hisself upside his own head......er sumffin like that. lol

All you need is some vasoline, CD cover with a hole drilled in it, food coloring and a syringe. More than likely they are around 67cc
