318 out 360 in

ok so i a have a 73 duster and i watn to put a 360 in what do i have to do? i heard about the washers but i heard that i have spool mounts, is it the same thing ro what?

What year 318 and what year 360? Only late models had spool mounts.

73 Duster would have spool mounts. Yes the washer thing on the drivers side mount to make up for the different spacings on the block ears between the 318 & 360 still applies.

You will either need a weighted flex plate or torque convertor or if it's a manual weighted flywheel. The 360 is an external balance engine and the mentioned items have a different balance factor between the two engines.

Sorry I was thinking of the late model large spool mounts and not the mid 70's style mounts. I've never referred to them as spool mounts as there not really round as the magnum engines are.

ok i have an automatic and i think its the 904 but not sure so i would need a new flexplate from jegs for 50 bucks right?

Yes one weighted for the LA 360 not the 5.9 magnum engine, unless the 360 is a magnum.
